Corporate Social Investment

Safeline Pharmaceuticals is a proud locally owned company, that has grown into a market leader in neonatology and anaesthesia in the past 20 years with the support of our healthcare professionals.  We love to give back to our community to help promote health in South Africa.

Over the years we have supported various local non-profit organisations in providing relief to those in need:

Smile Foundation

Over the past five years Safeline has donated over 100 bottles of our general anaesthetic product to various government hospitals around the country. Our donation has enabled doctors to operate on disadvantaged children with cleft lips and restore their smiles – “because every child deserves to smile.”

Cure Dentathon

Cure hospitals help restore smiles by providing free dental procedures to underprivileged children in their surrounding communities. It has been our privilege to support this initiative by donating general anaesthetic product towards these operations over the past years.

MACAH Foundation

Safeline is proud to be one of the first supporters of a brand new initiative focused on creating awareness and lobbying for better healthcare for mothers and children. Working with preemies every day and seeing the fight they put up to survive, Safeline immediately offered one of the first donations to the MACAH Foundation.

The Mother and Child Academic Hospital (MACAH) Foundation was introduced on an eNCA panel discussion in April 2018 titled “The Future of Health”. Host Joanne Joseph interviewed Dr. Rolene Strauss and other interested parties on how various stakeholders in the business sector, media, academia and government can collaborate to produce an effective healthcare system, and specifically, provide better care to mothers and children in South Africa.
